So the other night I decided to try Paula Dean's baked spaghetti recipe........
I decided to post this because it ended up tasting reallly good. But we know Paula's recipes are always good lol. It took about 2 hrs to make but it was worth it. This recipe actually made two casserole dishes so it looks like we will be having leftovers the next 2 days. By the time it is out of our fridge we will be sick of it lol. Here's the link if anyone is interested http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/baked-spaghetti-recipe/index.html.
I also randomly decided on the same day to test out a biscotti recipe (Giada) from food networks- 12 days of cookies. These turned out good as well, however, they dont need to be baked as long as it says in the recipe. My advice is to keep and eye on them so they don't burn lol. I think I took my batch out about 6 minutes before the time said but who knows. I substituted the pistachios with chocolate because that is what we had at the time. I also made the batch in the picture too thick as you can tell but I'm still learning. This is the first time I've tried to make biscotti from scratch. They looked funny but they tasted good so DJ was happy :). They were really good the next morning with coffee as well.
Here's the link if anyone wants to try them. I think I am going to try some more of the 12 days of Christmas recipes so stay tuned you might see more cookies soon :). http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/holiday-biscotti-recipe4/index.html
