Elf Haul and First Impression

Having loved some Elf products in the past, I decided to check out some of their newer products. I have always loved their eye shadows but I decided to give some of their new lip products and blushes a try.
The first item I got was an Elf blush palette in " light". I have to say that when I first swatches it on my hand I thought it wasn't going to be good. It took me about 4 swatches for each color to get it to really show up in the picture. On the cheeks however I discovered they are very pigmented and give a nice glow. I think this little palette is worth it and would be a nice addition to your makeup collection (especially if you are traveling and don't want to bring a whole bunch of blushes). You can actually switch the squares out but I don't think I would really need to do that since they seem like nice colors. The palette comes with light pink, rosy pink, coral and brown (bronzer type) shades. The brown color looks lighter in the palette but when swatched you can see it is much darker than it seems. I think for girls who are a bit more fair like me this would be a nice contour color.
The second set of products I got were lipglosses.  I had heard some good reviews about these so I wanted to give them a try. I was starting to doubt how nice these would be because of the cheap price but elf proved me wrong once again. Their smell threw me off a bit when I first opened them but I have to say the colors are amazing. I have a hard time with most lip glosses because of how pigmented my lips are but these actually work very nicely on my lips.

From left to right: Scott, Joe, Brian, Marc, Michael, and Brett

I will have to do some looks with these glosses so you guys can see exactly what they look like on the lips. If you can get past the smell I would recommend these for sure.

Of course I had to get another Elf makeup remover pen (since I can't live without it lol).

I also saw this lip exfoliator one their website and decided to give it a try since my lips always dry up. I've used it once and so far I can't say that I love it. But I'm willing to give it another try...

My last set of products are of course lipsticks. I had heard a lot about ELF's new moisturizing lipsticks and was hoping they were worth all the hype.

From left to right: rosy go round, coral cutie, flirty and fabulous, and rich red matte lip color

After swatching these colors on the lips, I have to say that I do love them. They go on smooth and they are very pigmented, however I worry they are too soft and sometimes I feel like I'm going to break the lipstick in half (so be careful when applying). I do feel likes these lipsticks are worth it for the price. I'm excited to do some looks with them.

I think they real winner of all of these lip products is the matte lip pencil. I only got one of these to try it out but I will definitely be getting more. This matte lip pencil is amazing. Let me just show you how it looks on the lips....

So overall I was happy with this haul. And I will have to keep you all updated on the lip exfoliator. If anyone would like the link to ELF's online website here you go: ELF
